Clarification on Form 1096 Summary Report:- Need clarification on this issue. In Form 1096, the boxes are mentioned as Box 1 and Box 3. Generally this to be addressed by PS team, as It came to Testing team side to explain, we verified in the google, and below is the out come. amount previously shown in Box 1 is now split into Boxes 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d, then the summary/total should generally be the sum of those four boxes: Summary Box 1 = Box 1a + Box 1b + Box 1c + Box 1d For example: Box Amount 1a $10,000 1b $2,500 1c $1,000 1d $500 Summary / Total Total Box 1 = SUM(Box 1a + Box 1b + Box 1c + Box 1d) Total Box 1 = SUM($10,000 + $2,500 + $1,000 + $500) = $14,000
