In the 1096 form for NEC, the amounts are mentioned under Boxes 1 and 3. However, in the updated form, Box 1 is divided into Boxes 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d. The amounts from Boxes 1a, 1b, and 1d should be summed and displayed as the total for Box 1, along with Box 3, in the Summary Report.
As Per Pramod Sir comments i am Updating The Bug Functionality Should Remain same.
@1099 NEC form, amount previously shown in Box 1 is now split into Boxes 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d, then the summary/total should generally be the sum of those four boxes: Summary Box 1 = Box 1a + Box 1b + Box 1c + Box 1d For example: Box Amount 1a $10,000 1b $2,500 1c $1,000 1d $500 Summary / Total Total Box 1 = SUM(Box 1a + Box 1b + Box 1c + Box 1d) Total Box 1 = SUM($10,000 + $2,500 + $1,000 + $500) = $14,000 I appreciate for any discussions needed AS Per Google
Need some Clarity On this, Once we Got That clarity we will work on that until that we will kept it on hold
@Adilaxmi. For 1099 NEC FORM The amount reported in 1a includes 1b and 1d, whereas Box 1c is not the value; it is the code. If you still need any clarification, please let me know.
Pls Go Through With Pramod Sir Comments Updated In Bug.
For example: Box Amount 1a $10,000 1b $2,500 1d $500 Summary / Total Total Box 1 = SUM(Box 1a + Box 1b + Box 1d) Total Box 1 = SUM($10,000 + $2,500 + $500) = $13,000 so this $13,000 should reflect in 1096 and also in the summary report, but it only showing $10,000. This is the issue, this to be addressed ASAP.
The total amount to be reported on 1096 form is box 1a and 3 of 1099 NEC Form.
